You have a great point on the underlying value for users, however, businesses and entrepreneurs do need to make a profit and returns for their investments. The entertainment industry thrives on these types of projects which unfortunately take advantage of human nature and their weaknesses. While I will not probably play it as I have first hand experiences of what gambling can do, I have considered the delegation because it is a product in demand elsewherr like you mention and could not only drive transactions to attract more users to the ecosystem but can also attract more development here as it proves the flexibility and scalability of the blockchain. Thanks for your perspectives as it always helps to consider not having the same opinion.

It is important to have different opinions and idea because the world will be boring if people always think the same way. :)
the biggest value in gamlbing is entertainment! but already said it can be expensive entertainment.
People have the right to play it and have fun in the process. In the meantime, the house will make a profit and the player will lose in the end!
exacctly thats why it has nothing to do with investing or making profit! its only pay for entertainment. thats what people should be aware of!
Gambling is definitely a drain on society. I was in New Orleans when they went through the process of legalizing gambling. The thing people don't realize is that gambling tends to take money from lower income people that don't have the disposable income for "entertainment".
I have a casino in my town and is legal here but I never there to go play. The only thing I like is going there for the free coffee and liquors! ;)
Is it value for steemit?
The value of having built a new concept in the blockchain world and be the first to combine a blogging platform with blockchain!
