If there are friends and relationships or not, there is a companion which travels throughout.
It's not living thing, but it's impactful thing.
Now almost everyone walk with it, like only they talk with it.
It have deep and soundful connection with ears, lyrics are transmitted into sound and sometimes brings tears.
Some sleep with it and some wake up with it, some use it as a tool to stay fit.
You will see many who just spent hours with this tool, it doesn't have any rule.
Inner world becomes soundful and outside everything is silent, through music emotions become giant.
With music what we owns, those are ear phones.

I liked your poetry. And you're right, headphones separate us from the real world and take us to a private world isolated from the daily noise. I used to have very good ones, but they were damaged and now it's very difficult to buy them.
But they were great days.
I used to go up to the Caracas subway (the capital of my country), generally, I don't travel much to the capital, but there are many errands that can only be done there. Going in there is like a small war, hundreds of people trying to enter a small space, all sweaty and even beat each other to get a seat.
I remember putting on my headphones and everything looked different. The music made everything more tolerable. Even though you were flooded with all sorts of smells and sticky sweat, they took me away from there. Hahaha.
