It's been 2 years ago now that I experienced a large out of control forest fire that came within 1/4 of a mile directly in front of my home. Large planes with big water tanks flew overhead above us. Me and my husband were interviewed by The Associated Press lol It was scary times and the air quality extremely poor. Areas of the forest still look burnt. Lightening started the fires and it was hot and dry at the time. Fires are definitely no joke ;)

Your so lucky, that’s definitely an experience you will never forget. It’s insane how quick the flames can move! Kinda cool that you were interviewed, did you make it on TV?

Yes, very lucky. It was pretty amazing to see the forest firefighters come together from several states to contain and control it. No TV, just an article that was picked up over several networks. Crazy times lol

The dangers of these fires are so frightening and I am praying for your health. I hope your video reaches people in the areas it most can benefit because last year was terrible, as you said.

That they most definitely are, thanks for the well wishes I’m sure I’ll be fine once I have a treatment plan more suited for my condition.

Last year was by far the worse year I have ever seen, I do hope people are more carful this year!

Smoking is bad for health and in this case the trees. Hopefully people will be more careful. Fire can be very diificult to put off and the haze caused is very harmful too.

Very harmful indeed, last year was intense with ash from miles away falling in our area carried on the wind.

Scary enough to find a burned out playhouse like that - double scary for it being so close to home, especially if there's drought conditions in your area.

Also, I hope the tests for your COPD come back with good news, and easy ways to find relief, @d00k13.

Yea it was an alarming situation, least the firefighters were able to get it under control before getting to far up the trees!

The COPD year went well, will be a few weeks before I see the specialist to get an answer but the doctor doing the test did say my lungs tested extremely well despite coughing while doing the stress part of it.... I believe the issue is just above my bronchial tube... would be nice to get a diagnosis and treatment plan that’s for sure.
