GUIDE TO START IN STEEMIT

in #dtube5 years ago

What would you tell me if I told you that you can earn cryptocurrencies by simply creating posts on a social network? Surely the first thing that comes to mind is that it is absurd and that I am crazy, but nothing is further from reality, since there is a social network, where you can earn cryptocurrencies with just posting. This social network is Steemit and what we get in exchange for posting content on it are Steem Dolars and Steem Power. There is a small drawback and the revenue is received by the votes of other users, so making attractive content is important for us to vote and get cryptocurrencies and here we will explain how it works.

WHAT IS STEEMIT?

Steemit is a social network based on the STEEM blockchain, a cryptocurrency which is mined based on the social network and whose capital is distributed among the users through the Steem Dolars, a cryptocurrency based on the STEEM blockchain. What interests us is that the social network replaces traditional blogs, portals to share stories and others, earning income in cryptocurrencies directly, according to the quality of our content. The better the same, the more we can get.

The content is free, you can publish anything, always within the aesthetic and legal margins. One of the most important differences with other social networks, is that it is open, anyone can see your content and content in bad taste, for calling it somehow is penalized. Bad taste content can be content for adults, quite badly seen by the community and all users who upload this content usually have accounts with enough negative votes or flags.

I'M ALREADY INSIDE, NOW WHAT?

Once the account is created, the ideal is to put a profile picture and fill in the description and other user data, before doing anything. Another interesting thing is to shop around the different tags or hashtags that appear in the right area and see what content moves, which is published in each space and others. The largest communities are English-speaking and the South Korean community, although the Spanish-speaking community (hashtag Spanish) is growing a lot and many initiatives are generated, which I will tell you later.

START PUBLISHING

The first post is usually a presentation, a brief description of who you are and that you intend to upload to the social network. The elaborated texts are taken in very good consideration, so do not cut words. If you want to generate a rich text with images, links or parts of the text highlighted, before publishing on the social network there are several guides and tutorials on how to enter it. Most of the HTML commands are supported, so you can also search for commands in HTML format to enrich the text.

Below you will see a preview, where you can see how the text will be after being published. The title should be as attractive as possible, as anywhere. Regarding the tags, if you are going to write in Spanish, I recommend that the first one you see is ‘Spanish’ and then enter whatever you want. A maximum of five tags or hashtags are allowed, separated only with spaces, with nothing else. For all those who present themselves, other recommended tags are ‘steemit’ and ‘introduyourself’

WHAT CONTENT TRIUMPH?

It is very difficult to say this content whether or not this content, the important thing is to work it out and everything will grow and you will see what content stands out. You can take it as if it were your personal blog, telling your things, you can tell your trips, things that interest you, tutorials or write stories, the limit is set only by you.

VOTES, WITH MODERATION

The social network has something that resembles karma and is the power of voting, which depends on the level of user. If we are new and during the first days until we charge, our vote will be quite insignificant and as we go up in level, our vote will be worth more and more (be careful, cents, don't get confused). Something that we must take into account is the power of the vote, which we must always have between 90-100%, since it is when our vote is more relevant, if it falls from those values, it becomes less and less irrelevant, this is done to avoid picaresque and that people vote indiscriminately.

THE WHALES OR CURADORES

There are users on the network that are called ‘whales’ or ‘curators’, they are those that take a long time and have a lot of Steem Power and can choose how much money they give to each of the users. These move in another league and get big capitals with very little. These have a lot of Steem Power, more than 500, which means that they earn revenues from everything that is mined in Steemit every hour, that if I remember correctly, they are 600-800 STEEM per hour (I don't remember it well, but there is a post that explain it better).

There are not many, but there are enough. Especially in the Hispanic community we have Cervantes, among others, that what they do is vote different user posts, to strengthen the community and share part of the benefits they get for being so large, which is another of the 'obligations' of Whales, share part of the benefits. Cervantes has several other subaccounts such as Sancho Panza, Don Quijote, Simón Bolívar and others, who are voting for the posts they consider to be of the highest quality (don't go begging, it's very ugly).

REMOVE MONEY

What we are charging is distributed automatically in Steem Dolars and Steem Power. The network allows in an internal pool to change the Steem Dolars directly to STEEM. The Steem Power cannot be changed and it is better not to touch it, but it is to increase it and less give it to Power Down, that is a bad idea, it is best to leave it and that it goes up gradually.

Take it out, we can take it out easily, we just have to have a wallet in any pool in the network and take it there. I recommend Bittrex, which is the one that works best, since Poloniex has the STEEM and Steem Dolars portfolio deactivated every two by three and we can spend days until we have our money in Poloniex. Personally I started using Bittrex for this reason. The transfer of capital can take minutes or an hour, it depends on the volume of operations in Bittrex, but the capital arrives and there we can already exchange it for Bitcoin and these for the currency that we want.
