Canon EOS R vs 6D Mark 2 - Video Image Quality
Just got my hands on the Canon EOS R and now taking it head to head with my previous vlogging camera the Canon 6D Mark 2. Will it replace it?

It was "A" for me. A lot sharper looking. Nice comparison, thank you for the info. I've had my eye on the EOS R... It would make a sweet backpacking camera. Lighter weight than my 5DS R. Cheers!
Good guess hahaha - for sure :) yeah looks like they made some improvements on the sensor feels great in the hand too

You should do Canon M50 VS the EOS R, that would be pretty interesting..

I chose A and I agree the EOS R is much better than the 6D Mark ii. However when looking at the video from the eosr vs sony or nikon or even black magic its among the worst in terms of sharpness. I still use canon simply because their color science still cant be beat in my option and the dual pixel auto focus is the best there is.
Also from CES the CEO of canon said they are working on a eosr camera that will be able to shoot 8k video. They said they have heard the customers and and are working on making their future cameras much more video capable (in-body image stabilization, better video capability and dual card slots)
So we shall see what the future holds. Especially since nikon just announced their z7 cameras will soon output 4k prores raw through HDMI to an Atomos Recorder. Canon will have to catch up and really make some changes in some areas for sure.
8k!!!! That's gonna be nuutso!! Yeah, I'll have to do some test vs the a7iii and the z series. Mirrorless is definitely the future though lol
Yep I bet it will be 8k h.265 but if it can do that it should be able to out put 4k raw (maybe prores raw). I Definitely agree mirrorless is for sure the future.
