PARAGLIDING AT LONG MYND

This was a flight I had at Long Mynd, one of the largest paragliding sites in Great Britain. I managed to gain a lot of hight and was contemplating going cross country, when a fellow pilot messaged me on the radio to say that someone had had an accident and that the air ambulance was coming, so I decided to land, better safe than sorry !
The problem when you fly down wind from any aircraft is that all aircraft create vortaices that spiral down wind, (the bigger and faster the aircraft the bigger the vortices created) this is especially dangerous on a paraglider as it can easilly cause a wing collapse and a big helicopter is not something you want to be down wind from !
These vortices spiral down and can hit you if you are unlucky to be in the wrong place, even five minute after the helicopter has passed.
