RE: Helping New Steemians

in #dtube5 years ago

No problem man, now since you mentioned such a specific date and Firefox I did some digging.

So that's the exact same date that Firefox released it's latest version, which includes a default media blocking feature.

I don't know if that helps, but check it out, it could help.

I got it to work with Chrome. I filled out the various description fields by just writing Test. Then I went back and did an edit to fill out the various sections. For some reason when I view it from Steemit Blog, it doesn't show the video image.

I'll experiment with it a little more when I get ready to upload the next video.

Great that you got it to work, so about the image, did you upload that after uploading the video?

Nearly every time I upload the image as the video is also uploading. I've been uploading to Dtube for over a year now and typically I'll start the upload, then upload the image and then proceed to fill out all the description boxes.

I know people have said to let the video and image upload first, but its not been an issue till this Monday April 8th. I've not posted anything about it in the Mozilla FF Forums, but I may.

Ok, I hope it will work out for you, good luck.

By the way, I always upload the image after the video upload and encoding is complete.

I did a standard uninstall/re-install (without deleting the Firefox Folder) and things seem to be working fine again. So far so good that is.

Thanks. I'll stop by the FF Forums and see what's up.
