Utopian is a platform built on the Steem blockchain around Sept. 2017 with the goal to reward open source contributors. It has revolutionized the open-source ecosystem and has had over 70,000 contributions, 5,000 contributors and 9,000 repositories since it was developed. As well as it has given thousands of dollars to the contributors.

Utopian has taken a new step by starting to build a new open-source platform "Utopian Colony" to reward all contributors and connect them with project owners.
