My best tip of advice is so simple and yet helps and can still help so many my tip is...
Make a Steemit Profile Picture right away. Sure it can be unique or personal or just a random photo but having the blank default is just boring looking. Some users are just getting started other users have been on here for months and still have not got around to setting a profile photo. I can even see a few here in the comments of this post without one. Although its not required it helps add a better look to the comments and give your posts and comments a more official look. Great tip for new users! You are right that if someone doesn’t have a profile picture, most people assume they are Espan account. Thanks for including a helpful link to your tutorial as well!
