What we do on pre-season Powder Days - Fernie, British Columbia.
Hi there Steem friends!
As you may know, I am currently doing a winter season in Fernie, British Columbia.
Until April next month, I will be a "snow bum" working at Fernie Alpine Resort and sharing views, experiences and fun times from the season with you here on steemit.
We got bored one day in November and came up with this, a fun couple of afternoons with a rope, some boards, beers and bloody good mates!
Fernie is a small town with a big attitude and a big big ski hill, the hill is comprised of 5 legendary powder bowls named:
- Currie Bowl.
- Timber Bowl.
- Siberia Bowl.
- Cedar Bowl.
- Lizard Bowl.
The 5 bowls as seen from my balcony. From left to right, Siberia. Timber. Currie. Lizard. Cedar. Fact - The avalanche scene from Inception was filmed inside the Cedar Bowl.
Our big nuclear friend in the sky paints us a picture worth a thousand words most days...look at those colours.
