Mi Reflejo tema que canta la protagonista de la película, sucede al principio del comienzo de la misma. Mulan es preparada por todas las mujeres de su casa para poder ser casada, algo parecido a ser una geisha, todas las chicas tiene que pasar un examen, en el que se las juzga por su delgadez y por la anchura de sus caderas para ser madre, deben saber servir el té de cara a sus suegros y guardar la compostura así como permanecer en silencio.

Es un grito de auxilio, una llamada de atención, vive en una sociedad donde ella no puede ser ella misma, y donde no se ve más allá del cristal de la propia apariencia, donde la mujer tiene que ser sumisa y calladita.

La canción va dirigida al mundo y se siente completamente avergonzada por no poder ser quien los demás quieren que sean.

En conclusión habla de la importancia de valorarse a sí mismo. No podemos vivir felices si estamos más pendientes de aperentar lo que no somos.
