LUT Studio #19 Functional pour
All along I've been doing acrylic pours on canvasses, trying to hone in my skills. I still have a long long way to go. While I'm still practising, I've decided to pour on more functional items which may be put to practical use. Coaster is a popular item and I've decided to try our few more other random things such as hair clips and bookmarks.
The hair clips were an absolute failure as I forgot they had a smooth finish and the paint wouldn't cling onto it.
The bookmarks are poured on strips of heavy weight paper which I've glued together. I'm quite happy the way they have turned out on my first attempt. Once I varnish them and add a sting to it, I think it will be quite nice.
I'm also quite pleased with the coasters particularly the round one. They need to be varnished as well before they can be used. I'm planning to make more of these as gifts for friends once I have honed in my skill.
