Wildfire or prescribed burn?

This evening we were shocked as we saw billowing clouds of smoke on an adjacent property and spied flames through the trees.

We can only assume this was a prescribed burn.

This is a practice done on a cyclical basis to regenerate and maintain pasture land. Still it’s quite a start to to see land nearby on fire.

We watched from a nearby hillside as this unique event unfolded, and give thanks for our safety and pray that alls well. We can only hope that this fire signals a condensation of minerals to improve nutrient flow on this pasture and not a mistake.

Headlights in the field point to this being a watched over intentional burn.

It humbles us to witness a small display of such a powerful force such as fire and It reminds of of just how how grand nature is...

A truck pulled over with an oil torch to burn a lower area. Seems like they got it under control and our homestead will be safe.
