[vlog #34] Bike Vlog on the Road | Slovenia | Cycling Up, Snow, Camp & Fail
Hooray Readers! Bringing yet another fun and crazy video to the community - Mr.P on Video!
Suuup, guys! Bringing one more of the bicycle Vlogs on our crazy European adventure during the winter. Today was one of those days when life just decides to punch us right in the face, nothing worked well. But when that happens, it means it's time to sit and work on Steem/Dtube instead.
On the last episode of the saga we left Maribor in direction of Dravograd, seeking for mountains and nature. I showed some quick meals and camped on a bench by the road - crazy!
On this video we'll continue the adventure following the Drava river in Slovenia. After leaving the city of Črna na Koroškem I headed to the mountains cycling up on snowy roads and camping along the way to reach the top.
The destination? I'm sorry but you'll have to watch and see, if you feel upset about the end I'll make sure to release a post with some pictures to give an even more complete idea. Enjoy!
Camping Tip for Winter
Camping during the winter is as easy as during the summer, to be honest I may even prefer the cold. All you'll need is:
- Appropriate equipment (Sleeping bag and mattress), do not go for budget stuff!
- Caloric meals
The tent is not what keeps us warm, the sleeping bag is what does the job with a little help from our own body. Contrary to what most people believe, cold doesn't get into our sleeping bag, it's the body heat that goes out - the sleeping bag needs to be insulated enough to prevent that.
But if our body is not producing heat, it means that we'll feel cold, because the temperatures seek for equilibrium, simple physics. That's when nutrition plays one of the most important roles on winter camping.
Eating quality and caloric meals will provide the body with enough energy to keep us moving and producing heat, thus maintaining us warm inside the sleeping bag. So, next time, make sure to eat!

Funkier? hahauha I don't know, but I like it! I'm working hard on the bike, now looking for a room to rent or somewhere to go as the place I'm staying is no longer available. The sad part is that my Steem time is getting lesser and lesser until I stabilize my routine.
How are you doing? We gotta find some time to do something, living so near yet so far.

it still seems crazy to me that a Brazilian decided to Bike around Europe in the middle of winter :D
AHhaahahah, come on Bil, my state in Brazil is a hella cold during the winter too, we only don't see snow.
But not going to lie, I'll re-think my crazy ideas for the future \o\
