stating that a “source” informed him that the Prime Minister is planning to announce a sweeping gun ban in June when he attends the “Women Deliver Conference” in British Columbia. According to this source, they had “very specific information that Prime Minister Trudeau wants to announce before the fall election campaign a sweeping gun ban on hitherto legal firearms,”

Wish the US would ban at least assault rifles
There is no such category of weapon. It is a fictional term that usually means any gun that looks scary. The US shouldn't have any weapons bans.

There is no reason for the regular citizen to have access to guns. Unless it is for hunting, farming or work there should be a complete ban on weapons.

I'm not sure about Canada, but our right to bear arms in the US has nothing to do with hunting or farming. It is our right to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. All of the biggest atrocities committed by governments around the world were proceeded by a weapons ban.
