Food forest stroll and show: The Pine Pollen is Fallin'!
Hello again @dtube and Steem Blockchain! The sun is just rising over the mountains of Zion National Park to the East...of our home here in S Utah....and I'm out checking on the food forest. Come join me...as I stroll and show....what's growing on this morning! The Pine Pollen has finally begun falling here at our latitude...and it's always a big day of celebration for us! We use the pine in many ways. The needles, the bark, and the pollen!!!! The pine trees themselves also are a HUGE part of the design of our food forest.....structurally...in that they provide year round evergreen refuge for birds. They are also huge wind blocks and shade providers....creating a nice protected habitat for life to flourish..in our little 1/4 lot!

Looking really good! I am crossing my fingers as the Mango tree that came down after the Hurricane seems to be showing some fruit this year! Amazing the resilience of nature!

I just love your enthusiasm for pines, I share it. They are a very important part of our life here. We've got a while yet before everything is showered in gold but I've been photographing the development as I find it so fascinating.

You really love the environment, Jake ... pine trees can not be consumed even though it can function as a bird house, windbreaks and roots can hold the soil to prevent erosion and landslides. if all people really love the environment like you would have no more floods and landslides in this world.

A living, edible archway! Those kiwi vines are outstanding, how beautiful and peaceful it is there. I thought you had a huge farm!! You have done so much with that space, I love it! Such a nice yard with all the herbs and fruit trees, wow! I love the view of the mountain, what a sight! Keep up the awesome work! :-)
lol...thanks clove!!!!! yah it's 1/4 acre lot... WITH the house. so the footprint of the lot we are growing on is much less. thanks so much...i really do enjoy hacking these urban sprawls....to make them greener..and feed US!!!! thanks for taking the time to view it clove!!! the kiwi archway...is my fave!!!!! hardy kiwis....so much like grapes!!!! mmmmmmmm! :)
