The Show Is Getting A New and Exciting Format!
Hi Steem Fam!
As we are coming up on our one year anniversary as a show... we decided to spend some time reflecting what's working, what's not working and how we think the show could improve.
One thing that we've noticed is that since we can usually only get together one evening a week to make content for the show... we were spending all of our time on producing two huge episodes every week and not having much time leftover to create more fun, vlog style videos of us going on fun adventures together.
The other big thing we've noticed is that once we get rolling on a topic, it's hard for us to stop! Our 20-30 ish minute videos usually start out with at least 40 minutes of raw footage.
So to help improve on these two points... we are going to move to a THEME for the week!! This will allow us to really dig into a particular topic and give it the time it deserves by splitting the conversation into two episodes. We are also going to start trying to keep our show to 15 minutes or less so that hopefully more people will watch the show all the way through!
One cool thing about having a theme is that it will give us inspiration to make other fun content based on that theme. For example... this week we went succulent shopping together for our Spring theme! Next week our theme is going to be Guilty Pleasures... and so I'm sure we'll have fun coming up with content ideas for that.

lol you two always make me laugh! I was watching this thinking how much this is going to be a treasure when you both look back at these episodes years down the road. To able to have these awesome parts of your relationship documented for prosperity is something many people probably wish they had. What a cool thing :)
Aww that’s so true!! It’s pretty rare to have so many random conversations with your sister/best friend documented! 😊

So, honestly, personally, I wouldn't worry about the length of your shows. I might be unique in this, but I have two laptops, my work one and personal one, and so while I'm combating spreadsheets on one, I've got you two drinking on the other...
I'd be curious to know if anyone has not clicked on an SSS because it looks like it'll be too long, or if, like me, it gets clicked on the second it's uploaded regardless of literally any other factor.

Thanks so much for the feedback on timing!! I wish Dtube offered analytics on view times because it’s hard to know what the “right” length is for an episode. Thanks for letting us know that 20ish minutes isn’t too bad! 😋
