decentralized platforms are the new black.

YouTubers are getting fed up with the way that advertisers are being picky about the content they are wanting to align their marketing efforts with, soundcloud is constantly having a news piece saying it's closing down, centralized systems are really up against the way right now, the interesting thing is both of these are fairly young in age but have been around what seems like forever -- they carved our their niches in video and audio and become 'brand' names.

decentralized however is taking off and new technology like IPFS and beyond that will make a lot of our hosting of audio, video and files in general decentralized and connected in some way to an incentive based blockchain -- steemit is one of them and already has sites up like dtube and dsound that handle video and audio similar to the two mentioned above -- check out the video for a quick walkthrough of both of these platforms and expect future videos of similar services.

the st33m amplify project is an effort to bring vloggers, content creators, youtubers and to bring in general the bloggers of the world into steem and show them they can add steemit to their income streams and have a more open, ad-free experience and share the wealth of their own successes over here on the platform instead of a centralized blog that currently pays them little adsense or nothing at all.
