Mutant Chicken!!!
So...we had this chicken that was supposed to be laying eggs. It was like twice the size of the hens. We couldn't figure out why some of the hens looked like they had been beaten up. And why this chicken was HUGE!!! Well, last week we woke up to the crowing of a rooster...yet we don't have a rooster. Peculiar! So upon further investigation, this thing was a rooster! My son had already named it Mutant. He said something just wasn't quite right about this chicken. Turns out he was correct! We aren't in need of a rooster, so we said goodbye to Mutant today. He was our dinner. RIP Mutant!

Here in Broken Arrow Oklahoma they used to raise a lot of chickens, and sell a lot of eggs. They had a weekend in the spring, where they brought all the Mutant Chickens downtown, and had a big barbecue! It is Still a party, and Still called Rooster Days (not Mutant Chicken Days)!

Thats my dad. With the kids being little and in charge of the chickens, we don't want a rooster. He was getting aggressive.
