Cheapest Hostel in Puerto Princesa, Palawan Tour + DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Test

This is Rein (wanderein, formerly @wanderlass) and I would just like to share a tour of the cheapest hostel I found in Puerto Princesa, Palawan in the Philippines. The Philippines, unlike other SEA countries, is not a backpacking haven. Affordable hostels are still on the rise. Most Filipinos usually travel in groups or with their family so affordable hostels are not YET as common as in other neighboring countries.

Palawan is one of the best destinations in the Philippines that is easily accessible by plane from Manila. The main airport and capital is Puerto Princesa. This is your jump off point to other destinations such as El Nido or Port Barton. Or this can be your destination itself, as it is home to the UNESCO World Heritage, Underground River.

I stayed here for one night to save money before I started the Detox Retreat program I joined in Bahay Kalipay as staying just to sleep in Bahay Kalipay is almost 10x than this place (as it is a retreat center that includes meals, programs etc).

Your Hostel is just 20 minutes away from Puerto Princesa airport via tricycle (1+km). I only paid 80 pesos for the tricycle ride (you can save if you can share the tricycle with other travelers).

This is also the first time I'm using the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Stabilizer/ Gimbal and I'm happy with how the video turned out. My videos can be shaky without a stabilizer.
