Travel Pro Tip #47: Getting around Bangkok by Tuk Tuk with Special Guest Lilly Wang! (2 min video)
Hey there friends and followers. In this short video I show you what it's like to get around Bangkok Thailand in one of the most common forms of public transportation, tuk-tuk! This is basically an outfitted motorbike. It's like a rickshaw motor bike combination. They are very common all over South East Asia especially in Bangkok.
You will have to do a little negotiating to get the best deal, and have a good idea of the going rates. One way to do that is to ask a Thia person that is just working in a store or on the street, and this way there is no conflict of interest. As a foreigner in their country they will almost always try to get more money out of you than if transporting a local.
In this Video Lilly and I take a tuk tuk from the biggest most famous mall in Bangkok, MBK mall. We go to the backpacker Mecca of the World Khao San Road. We have a little interaction with the driver and you get brief glimpse of Khao San Road at the end. Now come along, let's go!
THANK YOU

Want to have your post on the map too?
It's really fun to get around Bangkok by tuk tuk. Why is it called tuk tuk? Is it because its voice is sounding tuk-tuk?
That is a good question! But honestly, I have no idea why it's called a tuk-tuk. But they are fun to get around in.
