Today I take you on a journey through the streets of Yogyakara to showcase the amazing street art the city has to provide.
Yogyakarta, located on the Island of Java in Indonesia, is by far the most liberal city of the island and because of this there is no shortage of amazing street arts plastered on buildings, walls, and any other space where someone saw a blank canvas that needed covering.
It is 100% legal to create graffti in the city limits so this not only encourages artists to express themselves on the streets but also creates a lovely artsy vibe throughout the city making its form in live music played on street corners to traditional Javanese skit comedy performances.
If you are traveling through Java do not miss out on this metropolis of unconventional culture!
