But the mornings are amazing to hear them chirp.

I feel like this might be a trait of Malaysia. I have not had one issue with birds EVER until I got here. I am kind of in a flyway now for the morning and evening and watch a lot of birds fly out in the morning and return at night.

Then recently a BIG crow or raven came onto my balcony and started screaming and throwing the laundry hangers to the ground! A few days later, I went to the morning market and a bunch of huge birds were perched at the entrance. I am not the only one who was surprised and worried to pass them.

But them yesterday a small flock of pretty yellow birds came and hovered around my open door. I thought they might come in, but they just looked at me and left.

I have no bird poop stories so far. Thank goodness for that!

Oh my ... really? Only in Malaysia 😅

The crows here are scary. They are very brave. And intimidating.

We have been pooed on even. In the evenings Do. Not. Walk. Under. A. Tree!!
Do not park cars under the trees where they converge or you will have a car blessed with their poo. Hahaha

Hope you never get pooed on ... it’s kinda gross ... well obviously 😁

oh nooooooooooooooo... ughhhhh bird poop is the worst! (did you know ... i believe it is one of the more toxic poos of all the animal kingdom?? LOL i think i heard that somewhere!)

and its almost like they do it on purpose.. ready, aim, fire! LOL

bad birds! but i'm confused - why does the string make them not want to perch???

Yes it’s super yucky
So, when you walk under a tree where they rest, be prepared to be blessed hahaha
And yes it has happened
And the superstition is, it brings you good luck hahaha
Yeah, no thank you

Because the string is flimsy, they can’t rest ion it ... so they don’t and it has worked so far
They say you can place shiny things too and because it catches the light, there’s movement and it scares them
Believe it or not, that CD worked for about 3 days and they realised it wasn’t going to hurt them and they came back
That’s when I tried the string trick and it works ... for that area.

Thanks hilarious. Thankfully I use a dryer, but I understand they aren't for everyone and some people enjoy nature as a dryer. Thankfully no birds have ever managed to get into my dryer. Thanks for sharing your rather amusing story although I can imagine it must be very annoying dealing with your Pooie situation.

Not so funny when it’s you hahaha
You know, I actually chose this unit because I wanted space to dry my laundry even though it is a high rise.
Yeah, I am old school like that and prefer the sun and I live in a country with lots of sun 😊

many of us want to not use more of our precious resources by running a dryer. Hanging clothes to dry has so many benefits - bird poo is not one of them....
