RE: Banning plastic bans every 3rd of the month, is that enough?!

in #dtubesnapq5 years ago

I think it of course helps to build awareness of the people for this topic. Combined with some tv shows and other initiatives that could have a big impact on the little consumers.

Here in Germany it is common since some years that a plastic bags costs a lot more than the paper ones. Also you have almost on every supermarket cashier bags out of textile and if I forgot mine - i buy one of these for <1€.

I hope we will have more of these initiatives all around the globe and the humanity will reduce that plastic crap.....

Thanks for asharing and asking for our opinions my friend!

Thanks for getting involved in the conversation @tibfox! I thought you would as you are a big part of the @cleanplanet movement.

Yes, education is key and constant reminders/events/advertising is needed as well.

Its not easy and I have heard a theory from a Thai person saying its not all their fault as countries in South East Asia get paid to have the developed countries trash sent to them and they have to sort this overflow of sh*t. I'm sure it's true, but its only a part of the problem as I have seen first hand the amount of plastic being given out carelessly. Just going into a supermarket to buy a can of coke, you end up with a plastic bag, plastic straw, which has a plastic cover over it. How did an aluminium can (which is the thing you are buying) turn out to be outclassed by plastic 3:1?! And the plastic was free...
