Thanks. I really appreciate your concern towards helping me to participate effectively. Please how do i resteem a post

Just to the left of 'Reply' is an arrow which goes to the left, then up, then across to the right.
That's the resteem button.

How can i make some words bold or italics. Is there any software i can use outside the system to do that or can i do it right here on the typing page

Right here on the page. Use the asterisks, as I showed in my first response.

In order to grow on Steemit you need to be active, and ideally produce quality content. This involves upvoting posts you like, resteeming posts, leaving comments and creating content (ie. posting.) Comments and posts are basically the same thing to STEEMIT, so technically a good commenter can earn a lot of money. Of course if you simply go around spamming comments you will probably get downvoted, which will hurt your growth bigtime.

This is my understanding of how STEEM works: your share of earnings in calculated like so: if posts/comments you like and/or resteem grow (ie. get a lot more likes after you) you get a cut of those earnings. So some people are simple curators and they have a big base of followers and make money that way. And of course you generate income by getting likes on your own posts and comments. The more power a user has, the more their upvote is valued (so if one of your comments or posts is upvoted by a user with a lot of power, called "whales," that can be a lot of money). Buying power (in your STEEM wallet) is another way of growing. You can also use money to promote your posts, ideally this should help those posts reach a bigger audience.

Now, if you are here just to make a quick profit, you will probably not be succesful. Creating an audience takes time and effort.

Hope this helps a bit and good luck!

I will do more to check all this link you sent to me. I hope it will be very helpful in assisting me. What is the best time to comment on someone's new post?
