EA MADE $5.1 billion in revenue last year

Electronic Arts just reported that it had a record-breaking year. The company said it made $5.1 billion in revenue for the fiscal year 2018, which is significantly higher than the company's FY2017 numbers. The figure represents an increase of about $305 million over FY2017 numbers.

EA credits its financial success for 2018 to expanding the reach of its "leading franchises" including FIFA, Battlefield and The Sims to more players across more platforms. The company noted that Sports titles helped driving its success as well. EA saw an increase in competitive play in FIFA 18 and Madden 18 of 75 percent over the previous year
