HARAMBEE STARS & FUEL

The hurting effects of RC are among the few reasons the many us are willing to take a break of say a day from time to time in order to allow the 'filling' of our capabilities in here. This will however not kill our passion and need to build a supporting network for ourselves.

So here is my normal highlights of major and worth a clap or even a tear as per my selfish nature in quest for personal fulfillment. The poor judge, me.

Harambee Stars wins over Ethiopia gaining a momentum on efforts to play in the AFCON Games.

Our national football team is named after a phrase birthed by the founding Father. Am not sure if he did influence the naming but let's run away from that discussion as for today. We shall revisit.

Harambee is a swahili word meaning coming together. This can also be translated to a fund raise whereby forces are pulled together in aid for a common problem.

That's exactly what happened today. As a nation we all came together in support of our team in attempts to redeem hopes of playing in the AFCON games. The boys did not disappoint our efforts in filling up the stadium to capacity.

A 3-0 win over the Haile Gebrselassie (the athlete not to be confused with the older Haile Selassie) blood gave us hopes of a better standing in AFCON qualifiers should FIFA uphold it's ban (am sorry, #WeAreOne Africa) on Sierra Leone following a series of events.

Revised fuel prices

In the past months, I did some posts on the effects brought along by the sudden VAT charge introduced by our dear government on petrol products. From 0% to 16% and later (current) 8% by our President, a revised fuel chart has been released the regulatory commission.

Worth a smile hidden behind the shadows of teary eyes, the burden is not less slashed but at least it's a relieve from the previous prices. The whole nation stared at a loss as almost every homestead was affected by the increases. This does not mean any joy onto the dear citizens, it's a temporal moment am sure and the next minute they'll turn their guns on and point on us when the thought of 'not enough' tax hits them.

Kenyans, lets enjoy before the black queen visits the boy, fuel prices, again.

See you on next week (starting in 2 hours) and let's keep this train going.
