I woke at 5am today, which just so happen to be the day just after Uranus officially went into the constellation of Taurus. I'm not normally up at this time so seemed liked there was connection there. Not only that the night before (the day of the actual switch over) I was feeling really restless and went for a walk in the hills behind me, there is only so far you can walk until you reach the boundary of a farm. I can see into the distance more rolling hills, I felt like I just wanted to keep walking, even if it meant trespassing on someones land, just to scrambled through the bush and break out of the safety of my fenced off cow paddock. This is the feeling behind Uranus and Taurus and I wonder if we will see some breaking down of boundaries in the years ahead.

Why am I called Celestial Cow?

Well the cow archetype means a lot to me because my sun sign is Taurus and I identify my world experience through a lot of Taurean traits, although that is one part of my whole astrological chart, it sets the theme of my reality. We all perceive reality to be somewhat different and our astrological chart can tell us a lot about why and how that is.

Is astrology just 'bull sh*t' ?

Jung used astrology to help and heal peoples psychological issues. He analyzed astrology by noting that the constellations where important archetypes within our psyche, passed down to us through our subconscious mind from our ancestors who were in no doubt connected and lived by the star movements. stars were guides in ancient times and they can still be used like this today

I think daily horoscopes are a load of crap and I'm a bit cautious when it comes to predictive astrology. I also don't like when astrology is used to scare people by telling them something bad about themselves (and people doing this to make money) Yes we all have a dark side but astrology should be used in a positive way, how can we understand our shadow to work with it better.

How can we use astrology to help us?

When you are aware of the energies going on around you, then daily life is no longer seen as chaotic and random. Things start to become synchronized, keeping you aligned on your path in the great cosmic dance we call life.

What is Taurus?

It's an impressive constellation that has the Pleiades ( also known as the 7 sisters) within it, also some of the brightest stars Aldebaran to name one, is the bulls fiery eye. In the northern hemisphere, this constellations is most visible during the winter months. It is an earth sign and Taurus is also associated with planting and agriculture, as the cow is used to toil and work the field. As the 2nd sign of the zodiac which represents our house of wealth, Taurus is also ruled by the planet Venus, all that is beautiful and material. The mantra for this sign is ' I possess' then Taurus stuff, is quite simply manifesting things in the physical and that inherently goes with things of worth (money / commodities / art / tools / skills ). Taurus can be extremely abundant but it does not get there by taking risks, it's all about stability, it works hard, taking its time, learning all the information slowly and working on something thoroughly.

So what does it mean by Uranus transiting Taurus?

Apparently Uranus and Taurus don't get along because Uranus is all about revolution, rebellion, innovation and shocking us into a new perspectives, the stable bull doesn't like that but this transit is far from bad depending on your perspective on life right now, in fact its the opposite a complete revolution on the very foundations of where we inherently have been seeking our stability will be shaken up over the next 8 years. Security for most people is to own a house, have a stable job, a family etc but in this high speed digital age filled with many expenses, we are finding that people simply can't afford to own a house and barely can make rent. People struggle to find a job, let alone one they like or hold down. Some people still manage to have a family unit but many are choosing not to.

So where are we going to find our security now?

Firstly I want to make it clear that Uranus is a heavy weight planet and when it's transiting signs it does it over a long period, the shifting of energies between the Aires and Taurus cusps has been going on for many months now you could even go as far to say as years, because Uranus is a slow moving generational planet that transits a sign for roughly about 7 years. We have already seen how peoples confidence in fiat currency is diminishing as crypto currencies has become a very trendy alternatives. platforms like steemit have been invented and people are finding new ways to earn an income through social platforms (this is what Uranus in Taurus is all about) and we are only at the beginning here. Even though some people have got rich quick using cyrpto coins during the Uranus in Aires transit, the effect will be a more long term investment during this transit. We shouldn't be expecting quick fixes with Taurus but endurance is key and now is the time to start planting seeds. I've seen many people get tired of steemit because they didn't reap the awards quick enough, or the price of SBD went to low but the trick here is to keep at it to see something grow over time and if you put sustained effort in and use all the right tools, you will start to get back and eventually it will come abundantly.

I am apart of a group here called @ecotrain and the train conductor is @eco-alex who has built quite a few eco homes, these are very affordable options and I think we will see a rise in people going down this route during this transit. As Taurus is all about agriculture we will see an increase of people homesteading, growing their own, buying organic produce and people just being more aware of their bodies and wanting to take care of it. Veganism has also been trending no surprise as the bull is a Herbivore and Uranus is all about being informed and living by ethical principles. I would also imagine that there would be technical advancements to make agriculture more futuristic and more accessible to everyone even within urban areas.

I think we will see more of the merging between nature and technology and how the two can co-exist in harmony such as green energy alternatives and electric cars. I'm really excited by this time and even though we know the Taurus archetype to be slow, steady or even cautious, depending on the situation we can also have a charging bull, especially once the momentum picks up and we are in full swing of the Uranus transit then we can expect the unexpected.

It is just a coincidence that today I was asked by @futurethinker who works very hard here on steemit to mentor and help people develop their writing skills, please check out @promo-mentors if you are interested in this initiative. Well anyway I just so happen to be making this post and he asked me since I was vegan why did I choose to include a cow in my name. I know i've just answered this question but I wanted to go a bit deeper with what it means to identify with animal archetypes and being vegan. What i'm doing here is almost a type of animism because of my deep respect for the cow but also having a personal identification with it, it removes boundaries. On a spiritual level I have this with any creature or animals, like our ancestors, who saw other creatures and could identify our human traits within them, like having a spirit guide or totem animal. These give meaning and purpose for our lives.
On another note in the English language cow is used as a swear word towards women, fat cow, silly cow, stupid cow etc actually cows are never any of these and neither are women, well anyway let's just say this cow's a celestial one! I took this picture in the village my family are from, there are more cow's than people there and this is where I spent the first years of my life. My memories of that place is being able to hear cow bells everywhere and moooing, cow's loved to be touched, they are very sensory creatures and affectionate too. For me it's very painful to know that cow's are being abused all over the world unnecessarily.
