Direct experiences have become the developer of innumerable skills in the individual more effectively.

Experiencing through direct experiences provides the opportunity to know oneself, to know the environment that surrounds it and positively causes an effect of transcendental importance.

These direct experiences are the most favorable stimulant that currently intervenes around education and in the acquisition of knowledge, allowing people to have autonomy and judgment to act with maturity.


Direct experience in the hospital.


Directly experiencing what happens in a hospital, offers the possibility of learning what is lived constantly, understanding that it is not a game or a simple routine of work. Students will confirm that the experience of those who are part of the medical team is a great responsibility. Saving lives is giving everything to do the right thing.

It is a job that deserves recognition. Children will learn from routine, things to intervene in more complex situations.

They will be able to use the equipment that is used for the practice of medical students, following all the steps to practice as a doctor or nursing assistant.

Objective of the direct experience in the hospital.

  • Understand from childhood, that a doctor or nursing assistant should take responsibility for their actions.

The educator must guarantee the health of his students, so he should not expose them in the hospital, in rooms with patients in a state of serious attention. Children should be instructed, but with a high awareness of the acts.

The visit to the hospital should be planned in advance with the hospital director, so that the practice rooms of medical students can be used for children, and in this way learn what is achieved through studies and medicine.

Students should be told that the wrong behavior is harmful to the whole group, and the experience could be stopped. This is a call to conscience that must be made so that it is understood that teamwork is better.

Learning activities in the hospital.


Instructing children in the medical career is really one of the most fascinating direct experience activities.

Children always play that they are doctors and what opportunity is offered to them through this experience. This allows the game to be involved with education and learning from childhood, to take it to another level.

Children should be taught humanitarian aid, more than a job is to feel that you want to help, fulfill one of the roles of man on earth.

Experimenting and learning in the hospital will be fun. A challenge that children must face with courage, because direct experience is based on risk, effort, receiving knowledge to maintain it over time and thus put into practice what has been acquired.

Activities:

Placement of medical clothing.

Students should know that, before performing any activity, a physician or nursing assistant is required to wash their hands and wear appropriate clothing. It is what should be used to care for a patient, in any circumstance.

This is done in order to avoid, contaminate the patient or whoever provides the care. It should be taught that in the air there is a considerable amount of pollutants to which they are exposed. The suits do not eliminate but they minimize the acquisition of any polluting agent.

Tools to use in a patient.

The knowledge of the work teams is fundamental. Students will have an idea of each tool that will be used and its usefulness.

They will be taught that everything must be sterilized for use. Do not use any work equipment without first going through the sterilization process.

From the smallest of the tweezers, to the largest, good management practice is required. It should never be used by any person without first carrying out tests that confirm that it is capable of being used, since it puts the lives of patients at risk and is something that should be avoided at all costs.

Learning with a surgeon.

The doctor in charge of the school group will explain in detail the parts of the body, and how the work equipment will be used to proceed to making incisions and other activities involved in the process.

Basic notions will be given, so that in a future training in this area, children can have solid foundations that help in their learning and development process.

It must be clear, that the human body is not a toy, that although the activity entertains them, they will act with all the responsibility that it deserves.

This will allow them to take care of their body, acquire the knowledge to know where each part is and, although they can not see it with the naked eye, it is there.

We want to make students aware, letting them know that life is a precious gift, that we should try as much as possible, serve in a good way to help others.

Placement of oxygen.

Teaching to place oxygen, is important in the training process of any medical student.

It must be made aware that many times people can not breathe well, and that is where the doctor intervenes with the auxiliary equipment, in this way the person is helped to breathe. It only has to be placed on the recommendation of a professional.

The children will be part of this experience, since the oxygen is placed on mannequins of practical use in medicine, to instruct the students in their correct procedure.

Monitoring of patient in coma.

It is one of the cases found in the hospital, and it is the duty of the doctor in charge of the study group to instruct in everything that requires attention.

In this case, it will be carried out only with mannequins, the children will experiment as if it were true. They will act as nurses or doctors, complying with the protocol in the patient.

Applying defibrillator in patient.

They will be responsible for resuscitating a patient, something that usually happens and that has undoubtedly helped save lives.

Children will be surprised at the effect that this equipment has on the human being, and that it should only be used in case of emergency.

This activity really has an important power of instruction, and only with the doctors authorized for the teaching process is carried out in the best way.

Operation activity.

Children in the company of the group guide will have the task of operating a patient, in this case a "mannequin". To see how much has been learned. They will take the challenge after the instructions received.

For this, in any movement that you want to execute, you can ask the medical guide to corroborate that you are on the right path. If there is a group that fails in the operation, another must enter the room until the mission is completed.

"X" ray room.

Children will have a lot of fun with this experience. The "X" ray room is not a game, but in this activity that requires fun and learning, it will be a unique moment in which you will not be able to cut children's inspiration.
