This week will be covering Cancer

First I must relate a story which shows how ingrained this fear of cancer was in me and I’m sure in many others in our modern society.

I had read a book about an alternative treatment for cancer which involved doing a cleanse, incorporating vitamin B12 into the diet and having a lot of massages to move things through your body.
Luckily for me my sister was a massage therapist so I asked her, " If I ever got cancer, would you give me massages for treatment." She said "yes" and immediately I felt this huge weight lifted off my shoulders. No longer was I worried about cancer. It really surprised me how that fear of cancer was ingrained in my subconscious and I never really knew it was there until that conversation with my sister.

Now this collective will be on medicinal cooking to heal the disease of cancer with diet and I will be sharing more information on that but I first want to stress how important your attitude is when it comes to healing from disease.

A friend of mine was deathly ill with cancer and her attitude was beautiful to see. At a benefit for her, she spoke of how cancer does not have to mean – game over. There is many alternative methods of healing out there that can return your quality of life. Also she was so appreciative of all the support she got from her friends and family and what an important role they play in her healing journey.

See cancer as a wake-up call. Pointing out that changes need to be made for a better life

Personally I feel that regular treatments for cancer, things like chemo, radiation and surgery, are worse than the disease!

With that being said I’ll continue sharing some alternate healing methods, focusing mainly on diet but understand that diet is only part. Lifestyle and environmental factors come into play too. I'm sharing this information to give you choices.

As with any healing journey it is individualistic, so try these diets, check to see if they work for you by how they make you feel, how vital you are and how your energy levels are.

First off start by taking care of yourself and get off the standard American diet if you are still on it.
I would encourage you to grow your own food (give it some sea water extract for extra mineral.) this way you will know what goes into your food and you can ensure it contains the much needed nutrients for a healthy body.

Really there are two main causes of cancer:

  • Exposure to toxicity – things that your body cells should not have or
  • Lack of nutrition – the things your body cells should have.

An important principle is to get rid of your toxic overloads then move towards a more natural kind of diet.
Also try to understand what bought about your cancer so you can deal with that and not create a similar environment for the cancer to return to.

One more bit of information I want to provide for you is some findings from Dr. William Kelly research

People with solid tumors – the typical tumors of breast. Lung, stomach, colon, pancreas, liver, uterus, overy and prostrate tend to need more of a plant based diet.
People with immune cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and sarcoma tend to need more of an animal protein-based diet.

*Note: He found too, that people that had a more balanced diet were less likely to have cancer.
Add to this better diet, sleeping well, drinking plenty of water plus embracing the law and orders of your body all adds to your health.

3 Pillars to your Health

  1. Diet
  2. Emotional detoxing and
  3. Physical detoxing

On to diet, let’s clean it up a bit first –
• remove all manufactured foods
• remove GMO foods
• Remove sugar and starches
• You can take your diet all the way back to sort of a Stone Age diet, where they had some meat but 60% of the calories were gathered by women. You can take everything out of your diet except for a few fruits and vegetables and when you feel good eating this then you can cautiously start adding certain foods back into your diet, watching how you react to it. This is sort of like an elimination diet.

Foods that have been Proven to Prevent Cancers

Cruciferous vegetables, especially broccoli and Brussel sprouts
citrus fruits
celery
almonds (slip the skin off them first before consuming)
foods high in selenium and zinc
fish oil (cod liver oil) with it’s vitamin D (the best source of vitamin D is from the sun.)

Another important note is to boost your immune system so that it can handle the threats and challenges presented to it. Make sure to keep it fueled so that it has enough energy to keep fighting and to maintain homeostasis, which in the end means good health.

Something to keep in mind when you are going on these special diets and your body is repairing and rebuilding there will be a lot of toxins released so it is important to routinely do cleanses.

Liver cleanses - a very effective one is done with coffee enemas but for those of you who do not care for enemas you can do a liver cleanse with a cocktail made of raw carrots, beets, cucumber and garlic juiced.

Colon cleanses (once you clean out the colon you get better absorption of nutrients) -

Sea Salt Cleanse - Use 1/2 Tbsp. sea salt mixed into 1 cup of warm water. Then 1/2 Tbsp. of fresh lemon juice. The action of the salt promotes healthy intestinal movement, which helps move food through the digestive tract or

Apple Juice Cleanse - use 1 cup raw apple juice, 1 Tbsp of bentonite clay and some psyllium husk seeds. The bentonite clay acts as a metal detox. Attracting heavy metals and other harmful toxins like pesticides and pathogens. When it combines with H2O it binds these elements and transports them out of the body.

One very effective diet for cancer is the Gerson's Immunotherapeutic Cancer Diet

  1. Juices: hourly throughout the day.
  2. Vegetarian Meals: (sample below).
  3. Dairy: Withhold for two weeks. It must be added once you begin Coley Fluid under medical supervision.
  4. Supplements:
    Probiotics: Take first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
    Vitamin A & D: Serve in/with orange juice.
    Acidol Pepsin & Pancreatic Enzymes: Just before meals.
    Niacin: start 100 mg bid (twice a day) with meals and increase to 1500 mg bid (with breakfast & dinner). Do not use extended-release, slow, no-flush or niacinamide. Use only pure vitamin B3 as nicotinic acid.
    CoQ10: 300 mg bid (with breakfast & dinner)
    Vitamin E: d-alpha tocopheryl succinate 1,000 IU bid (with breakfast and dinner).
    Alpha-lipoic acid: 600 mg bid.
    Acetyl-l-Carnitine: 500 mg bid.
    Brewer’s Yeast: 4 Tbsp per day.
    Flax Oil: 4 Tbsp per day.

The big organic vegetarian meals would consist of Hippocrates soup, big salad, baked potato and some cooked vegetables.

Hippocrates Soup

####Ingredients:
1 medium celery root knob
1-1/2 lbs tomatoes.
1 medium parsley root
2 medium onions
Garlic as desired
1 lb potatoes
2 small leeks
A few sprigs of parsley.

Directions

Chop but do not peel the vegetables. Put into a 4-quart pot, chop, cover with purified distilled water. Simmer slowly for 2 hours, then put through food mill.

Carrot Juice (2 quarts)

5-6 lbs carrots
6-8 green apples

Green Juice (1 quart)

3-4 green apples
Small handful of watercress
8 small leaves chard
1 lg head romaine lettuce
1 small green pepper
1” wedge red cabbage
Small handful of escarole

great to see you mention 'Run from the cure', I've seen amazing things happen with Simpson's oils. Great write up and I think you're spot on. I would like to add one thing, if you don't mind. You mentioned supplements, I believe Magnesium is such an important mineral and it is very hard to get enough of it out of food. In the Western world, probably 75% of all people lack magnesium! I can't help but think that it may be connected to increased illnesses too. Magnesium is best taken on the skin :) As magnesium oil. Thanks for this, the soup sounds great! (and I'm detoxing right now...so no good to be reading recipes LOL).

Hey! Thanks for mentioning Magnesium, hopefully people will pick it up in the comments. I had watched Rick Simpson's "Run for the cure" years ago and felt it was so unfortunate that it could not be accepted by the regular medical system for it could have helped a lot more people and even saved more lives! I'm liking Steemit for having another source to get this information out to folks. Detoxes are good but I know what you mean when all these interesting recipes and food pictures come up.
