It's definitely better with other kids. That's a big bit of our motivation to move! Unschooling certainly has its challenges, but even just letting the little one follow you around and watch what you do is so nourishing for them. A set of wooden tools and plastic garden tools goes a long way. It's amazing what they pick up! I have been unschooling for nearly 20 years and was also a founder and staff member of a Sudbury school, so feel free to pick my brain. I'm absurdly passionate!

Wow... I was just texting with a good friend about sudbury schools!!! Amazing. I really love the idea of it, I've only just started looking into it and we have 1 year and some months to decide. Plenty of time for researching deep!

One of our dreams for this property we now live on is to found a school like it... but sudbury is just 15 minutes from us so who knows perhaps we can cooperate as a place for field trips for off grid living, survival stuff (in a non-dooms day fashion).

Our little human loves his mini shovel and he's learning the trees we have. Not even 4 yet, he tells people , this is a sasafrass, that's black locust and this is plantain (as he munches on a small leaf).

Thank you for the inspiration to look into this even more now 😁!
