Bill Gate's Nuclear Power project

in #ecotrain5 years ago

Very interesting article about Bill Gate's Nuclear Power project...
but if you read the article completely you will get a feeling why the "Nuclear Renaissance" will never come....
just too far out and ways too expensive..
we already have a very powerful next generation fusion reactor called SUN... lets harvest that with solar PV panels.
Innovative solar companies and private investors all over the world will clear the path to a sustainable future!

Hi @solarwarrior

I wasn't aware that Bill Gates is involved in nuclear energy industry. Wow. I wonder if anyone I know have ever heard about it.

Thx for sharing this link. going to read it right away. Upvote on the way.

Cheers, Piotr

im LOST for words when seemingly smart people propose putting a nuclear time bomb on any part of our planet.. As elon was saying just last week not that i think hes that smart these days.. China could EASILY power the entire country on solar alone... !

yeah.. the funny thing is that you do not even have to consider the horrible consequences of an accident or the unsolved nuclear wast issue... just have a look to those western countries where the calculations for new nuclear power plants are openly shown... does not work... no way.. billions and billions of cost overruns and time scales form planing to be put in operation with more than 10 years...

There isnt much discussion for any sane person! I am lost for words for people who say NUCLEAR ☢️ power is safe!

The phenomenal resistance to solar power really beggars belief, particularly since it is THERE - every darn day ...! To consider anything else whilst sidestepping this astounding resource is, frankly, sheer stupidity in my book.

@ecoTrain

yes.. that's the fight I have daily.. but never give up! ;-) at the end it is pretty clear... the technology development of solar PV and battery technology is just so rapid but with so much more potential that in a few years it will be obvious - just form an economic point of view - also to most "motivated" leaders that PV will just "tank-rush" the whole energy landscape... but until then we have to fight for it

I agree that we should be using the power of the sun, especially for everyday common use cases like powering homes and cities. Nuclear technology should be saved for special cases, like powering extrodinary projects and for travelling/exploring space.

fully agree.. solar powering the earth will pave the way to the stars..

@solarwarrior, We are in times where we are seeing huge Individual Scientific Projects. Let's see what is hold by the future.

Yes, this could be a major game changer as governments are not only ineffective but more and more do not commit to long term research but rather spend the money for voter's instant benefit

Yes that's true.

That's the point! LGG
