This time, I will do a post about chakra meditation, the way I do it. You can find something similar almost anywhere where people are working with their chakras and meditating too. Keep in mind that this will not be a post about chakras (maybe I will do a post about them in the future or a series of them). We will focus on meditating with them, not explaining them.

This is NOT opening your chakras, it is not closing them either. It is a meditation practice that will stimulate them without even thinking about them. You do not have to have any previous experience and if you do not know anything about chakras that is fine too. For those of you who are familiar with them, this will be cute and different from that which you usually do but do not worry, it will not interfere with your normal practice.

You can meditate anytime and anywhere, there are no limits or restrictions but some things are easier than others.

When people are experienced in meditation, they quickly get into the right mood but even they admit that it is easier when you get some help and remove distractions.

Find a quiet place...

It is much easier to relax and concentrate when the tv is not on and your phone is on silent or in another room. Light some candles and say goodbye to the outside world for a while, it will still be there when you get back and you won't even miss that much. Allow yourself to find the time and space that are best for you. It can be outdoors in nature or in your room. Just make sure that you are not disturbed.

There are plenty of poses to chose from. You can be sitting in a lotus position or with your legs uncrossed. You could be lying down on your back or even be in any yoga position. You could be walking, standing on your hands if you like or be on your side. It really does not matter...

The thing that is important is that you feel comfortable. You cannot really relax if you are uncomfortable or aching. Find a pose that works best for you, whatever that may be. Do not worry about this and that rule how you must stand this or that way. Trust me, that is bull sh*t. A pose that will be your best is someones worst and vice versa.

Listen to your body

Meditation is about relaxation and no one knows what body position will work for you better than you. Listen to your body, it is your best teacher and it always knows what it wants. Try experimenting with poses to find the best one. You can not know if something works or not if you do not try it. Your body may surprise you.

Start by closing your eyes and taking some deep breaths. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Allow your body to relax more with every exhale that leads every worry and tension away. After a couple of moments, you can begin to bread naturally.

The red door

In your minds eye, imagine yourself standing in front of a RED DOOR. It is a large door and you feel comfortable about it. It is almost calling you to step through them. Take that step. Inside, you will find yourself surrounded by red. The walls are red and there are red tables with bowls filled with red fruit. Strawberries, apples, and tomatoes everywhere. You can feel the sweet smell in the air. Take some fruit in your hand and feel its texture, eat some too. That fruit came from the earth and has all the required nutrients your body needs to be healthy and strong, sharp and connected.

The orange door

At the end of your red room, there is an ORANGE DOOR. You get a sense of excitement and passion about it and can not wait to see what is on the next side of them. You enter and find yourself in the orange room with orange walls and orange tables with orange bowls filled with orange fruit and vegetables. There are oranges and carrots everywhere, baked sweet potatoes with steam coming from them and you feel like you have stepped into a painting. This is such a creative place to be and everything is gorgeously arranged. At the back of the room, you notice a yellow door.

The yellow door

When you pass the YELLOW DOOR, the yellow room looks very familiar to you. There is nothing inside the room but the yellow walls and they are full of pictures. They have yellow frames and you are the one who is in all of those photos. Your achievements and milestones you have passed. Some pictures have parts of your body on them and some have you doing various activities. You are smiling in all of them and feel like this room knows you, this room is you in a way. Just at the back, a green door is waiting for you to enter the next place on your journey.

The green door

When you step through the GREEN DOOR, you find yourself outside in nature, beautiful and green nature that loves you and provides so much. You are on a soft green grass filled with clovers and each and everyone is the lucky one with four leaves on it. There are cucumbers growing from the ground here and there and you are passing under a big archway filled with kiwis hanging from it. You can feel yourself being surrounded by unconditional love and you feel safe here, still, you see the next door that are waiting for you. In the distance, in the middle of that medow, a light blue door are standing and you know you have to go through.

The light blue door

After your first step through the THE LIGHT BLUE door, you find yourself floating in the air. You are flying through the clear blue sky and there is nothing and no one here to see or hear you. You feel free and you know that this is your chance to say anything and not be judged. You start singing as you are flying and you start talking to yourself. Everything you ever wanted to say now comes out and you feel relieved and liberated. You take a look at the ground but nothing is there, only endless light blues sky and a dark blue door in front of you.

The dark blue door

After you pass through THE DARK BLUE DOOR, you are once again back on the ground. It is not normal ground but it is ground. You are walking over millions and millions of grapes and raspberries and they feel soft under your feet so you want that softness all over your body. You want that perfection. You pick one of the grapes in your hand and squeeze the juice out on your forehead. Soon, you are covered with all that fruit and rolling around in it. Something inside you changed, something opened and now you are one with the fruit, one with all that you have seen in all the previous places and behind all those doors. You are one with everything and feel like you are wider, bigger and more. You are more of everything that you have ever been. After some time, you notice a violet corridor in front of you.

The violet corridor

No one knows what awaits you on the other side and no one can predict how you feel about it or will feel about it. This part of the story is yours and your mind will fill it for you. No two people will have the same experience and that is completely normal. You can stay in your violet place as long as you want and when you feel comfortable just retrace your steps and come back the same way you came in. When you will be on your way back, you will pass through the dark blue door, light blue, green, yellow, orange and red until you find yourself back where you started; in your room focusing on your breath. Take a couple of deep inhales and exhales and gently open your eyes.

I hope you enjoyed reading this meditation and that you will try it out. It is simple and you can do it as often as you want. Feel free to let me know how it went and what are your experiences. Until next time;

KEEP YOUR SMILE ON
AND MEDITATE.

Thank you so much @zen-art, I've never tried this method, sounds really awesome!

It is an easy and a lovely story to follow, I am sure you are going to love it 💚

This is one thing I find a real challenge. Meditating. No matter how hard I try to quiet the mind, that is exactly when it gets busier than usual thinking of mundane things like laundry.
I enjoyed reading the walk through the doors into the corridor :)

I think Vipassana will work for you then, there is a link to that post at beginning of this one. In Vipassana you do not have to quiet your mind, you just recognize your thoughts as they arrive and label them. Try it out. I am glad you like the story and doors. Thank you for your lovely comment. 💚

Thank you @zen-art... I already like the sound of that... didn't know there were other ways to meditate... I am checking it out 😊

This a very interesting meditation post about chakras. I actually didn't know much about this type of meditation prior to reading so I appreciate the content:). I followed because I really enjoy this type of reading. I meditate daily and plan on trying this type of meditation now. Thanks!

I am glad you enjoyed it, it is a simple guided meditation that is easy to follow along in your mind, I wish you great success with it 💚

Your post made me realize that I 've neglected my meditation sessions lately.

Thanks for making that apparent.
