Nice post. It is indeed important to boost your self-esteem if you want to make it out there. Of all the factors you've mentioned that account for people's low self-esteem, I think that the most dangerous one is continuously comparing yourself with others. Indeed, today's mass-media and social media only fuel this negative obsession, so taking a step back and socializing with real people in the real world instead of scrolling down through the list of smiley faces on Facebook is essential.
