THE WITCH OF AGENSI

While others are waiting to get married or looking out for a well established man to hook up with some others are busy breaking boundaries and creating new amazing invention.
For example Maria Gaetana Agnesi born to a wealthy family May 16, 1718 in Milan. At a tender age was already showing signs of high intellectual capabilities like most of the kids today.
And by the time she was 6 years old she already could speak several languages. Her dad took interest on her and so did many people. He encouraged her to pursue her interest in all scientific matter and even provided tutors to guild and educate her.
Although Maria lost her mum. her dad Pietro Agnesi had to remarry twice which made her the first child among 23 siblings. She took upon herself the task to educated her sibling and also educate herself. Her contributions in mathematics is very well known and she is the first western woman to be accurately called a mathematician. She made several material sacrifices to support the poor. She is a philosopher....

In many society today women are stop from handling difficult task. whether in the academic sector, the political sector or any sector you might think of. They are always neglected or not trusted.
In Africa especially and Asian you hardly see females taking engineering classes. every lady wants to be a medical doctor, lawyer or a business guru. Am aware that this decision are partly made by this individuals (woman, men), parents or the society at large. parents sometimes tend to discourage their females children to ever pursue a career in areas they feel is not financial rewarding or rather not trending as it would not provide means for easy employment. Basically going to school to be schooled to just get employed is a already a wrong move, a bold step to unfulfillment. And one can only succeed in area where there is passion or creativity. I hope you understand what am trying to explain.. Parents most especially in African would tell their young girls that is a serious waste of time trying out areas In astronomy, astrology, archeological, or areas that are not so popular with the society and if this child grew up with the interest in studying this field they are advice to stop or are discouraged.

Even as a boy i have always wanted to pursue a degree in astrophysics. This has been my greatest desire. And after graduating from high school i started applying for scholarships. I was never going to get supported. Because people around me thought that it was a serious waste of time when looking at the economy and 'state' of the country. I have been told that i can't succeed because Nigeria is not so developed to help me out .. I would end up moving with files searching for job.... Lol.....Instead i was advised to find something else and do. Honestly it was a serious pressure and i yielded although not because i was won over by what they told me but because i couldn't sponsor myself and i was un -able to get a scholarship as some of the scholarship involved serious money too....
....I hope to raise the fund one day..maybe here on Steemit I hope so...so I could go ahead in fulfilling my dreams and purpose because am still Young
My advice to the society and everyone out there is to dream big don't let the society place a limit to what you can achieved. If you have a dream quite different from what you find around you don't be shy don't feel unqualified or that you are a woman and you are not suppose to do this or that. No! you would have to realise that the world has evolved and this mentality has no Dominion again. you have to step up take Evey chance you have and fulfill your dream and purpose. Most women has turn our world to something extra-ordinary and this would never have been if they were not determine to step up and make a difference.
