Modernization has been sweeter to us but millions of creatures are walking out of the earth. Of course, I believe in the concept of 'Survival of the fittest' but survival should be in a sustainable manner. The below-mentioned incidents show how rapidly environment change is kicking them. By the way, humans are having a bigger hand in changing conditions of the environment.
Whale hunting :
Despite an international ban on whale hunting, 333 Antartic minke whales were killed in Japan. Shockingly more than 30% of the hunted whales are pregnant. Products we obtain from whales are in high demand so hunters aren't making a second thought.
Death of last male African Rhino(Sudan):
Despite the human effort to save the last rhino, it passed away living a tear for us. It has received the utmost care from humans in the last days...
Listing of Bengal tigers in endangered species :
Bengal Tiger is widely known for its bravery and ferociousness and maybe because of that it is famously called as 'Royal Bengal Tiger'. They used to be in some tens of thousands but decreased to 2k-2.5k in number.
Most importantly 'The Great Barrier Reef' which has been the abode for many aquatic species is being disturbed with the climatic changes mainly because of increasing oceanic temperatures. It has escaped near extinction five times since 30k years and holding tight for the sixth life. It's been the only home for many rare species!
Materialistic things are replacing the love, peace and happiness that human once used to get from living beings. As the promise made yesterday it's the duty of every citizen to protect their flora and fauna!
