Most of these bid bots have delegations from whales, now why would a whale downvote something that he or she has a stake in? And if whales don't downvote the whole thing is futile in the case of an article that has hundreds of dollars in votes.
You make a good point. I wonder how many posts BT has flagged that have buildawhale votes on them....
Although i believe it is the operator who will suffer most as their earnings are from the curation, not the wallet sends (i think).
I think once DVs started, the big sends will stop and there will be inactive stake in bots. Not great for ROI.
That is the hope. We will have to see how 'not great' compares to what else is on offer :)
It is going to be interesting as it will become a game of adjustment but, it will have more random and dynamic involved meaning less easy to program for or predict. Hopefully.
Out of the active stake on the platform today, orca stake over doubles and dolphin stake doubles that of whales. It only needs to be knocked down s out 10% to incur a loss, a bit more for a significant loss.
Time for the community self-regulate, the entire community.
