A number of democratic candidates have already announced that they will be running for 2020, including Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and others.

But some are obviously not going to get as much screen time as the rest and according to data from the TV News Archive, the media has already been busy giving the majority of coverage to former VP Joe Biden. For networks like Fox, MSNBC, and CNN, they suggest that Biden has been significantly mentioned more than any other candidate across those networks.

Mentioned 4x More Than Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders had allegedly been receiving the most media coverage out of any democratic candidate for the 2020 race prior to Biden announcing his intent to run.

For candidates who announce their intention to run they will often get a boost of media coverage around that time but the coverage will quickly fade. And although Biden might be receiving a great amount of coverage at the moment, it isn't clear if that will continue throughout the entire election process.

For example, they already report seeing less coverage for Biden this week than previously, but he's still in the lead for coverage compared to others.

At the moment however, it looks like both Sanders and Biden are considered to be the most talked about candidates over the last several weeks within the media.

While the circus is sure to draw millions in, who are eager to vote even harder on their way to making change, to others it's no more than a rigged system that's used simply to pacify the people.

The deeper system that rests underneath, has continued to persist and will still, regardless of any electoral outcome.

And while there might be some who are discouraged that the results will bring any meaningful change in the way of foreign or monetary policy etc, the process can at the very least be viewed as a wildly entertaining clown show from time to time.
