ELECTION FEVER

I love this advisory of the Commission on Election for the May 14, 2018 Barangay Elections. Very true. Saving a relationship is more important than vying for a position in the government. One does not need to ruin other people's dignity just to win. Yes, it has been observed that during elections, even your dearest friend becomes your enemy, when your political views and preferences differ. Too bad.

How can we, Filipinos build a nation that is trustworthy when the foundation we laid are remorse, dishonesty and enmity? How can we teach our children to become honorable in their ways when we neglect integrity? We must become role models to the youth and paragons of goodwill. That is the best thing that our children can inherit from us. It is the most precious thing that money cannot buy.
