Great story, it is amusing to trace your thought and sometimes laugh together. I like how you write your interaction with your wife about the painting this is something I have with my hubby and sometimes with my son. This is the way how it should be you need the critics while creating and also the other opinions can change your creation too.
As to the painting. I love the way how you have made the sky and beautiful cloud this is the main actor in my opinion. But the architecture and the little bridge are also awesome.

I have serious difficulties with English. I understand that Google translator sometimes gives complete nonsense. After google translation I read the text and make edits. Sometimes I understand the meaning of what I have written and I am shocked, sometimes laughing to tears...
And I'm really sorry for the native speaker who reads my texts :-\
