Hi guys! I want to show you one of my new drawings, this is a bright sunflower, not just a beautiful flower, but also very useful and edible. Who in the childhood did not like to tear and eat straight raw seeds? :)

And what could be useful in this flower?

Now I want to tell a little about this, because I want to not only show the process of drawing, but also to tell a little interesting information.

Useful and healing properties of sunflower

Of the fruits (seeds) make sunflower oil. Pellets go to fodder admixtures for cattle and for feeding for fishing.
From the marginal flowers and dry leaves make tincture, which increases appetite. Infusion of marginal ligulate flowers is used as an antipyretic.
In the leaves and flowers are coumarinic glycoside, scopolin, flavonoids, triterpene saponides, carotenoids, anthocyanins, phenolcarbonic acids.
Sunflower seeds contain linoleic, oleic, other unsaturated acids, amino acids, as well as vitamin E and magnesium. The latter is much larger than in rye bread.
Sunflower oil is used not only in cooking, but also as a remedy. Oil is taken internally - as a mild laxative, and externally, rubbing them with aching joints. Fresh seeds are taken with bronchitis, malaria and allergies.
