Interesting that you decided to quit all other blogging platforms, but I guess steemit has a lot going on and it is probably worth it. I hope though they implement some cool features like the possibility of seeing how many views a post has and other things like that that we see on traditional blogging platforms.
Good point. Am definitely looking forward to number of views which seems to be one of the most important features of traditional blogging platforms. Anyway, www.steemstats.com has become a pretty useful tool which can be used for all kinds of other interesting measurements. Maybe they'll find a way to add number of views.
If I'm not mistaken, the best way to harvest the view counts would be my interfacing with the front end itself, or by putting hooks in the front end to keep such information..... or maybe it would be the bit that serves the front end-- I forget if this site is a javascript server and javascript in the browser or apache/caddy/nginx + javascript in the browser.......
I bet if someone would implement that, he would get significant votes. Looking forward to voting someone. :)
