The relationship between the five characteristics of emotional intelligence and the 25 emotional abilities

in #emotional6 years ago

Emotional ability is a kind of ability that is built on emotional intelligence and can be acquired. A person's outstanding performance in work also depends on this ability. The core of this ability contains two kinds of abilities: First, empathy, including the ability to understand the feelings of others; The second is social ability, which allows people to deal with interpersonal emotions in a clever way.

Self-awareness, motivation, self-adjustment, empathy, and interpersonal relationships are the five factors that are the basis for learning practical skills, and emotional ability determines how much potential we have to learn practical skills. Our emotional abilities show how far we can reach our potential. For example, "good at serving customers" is based on empathy. Similarly, "honest and reliable" is based on self-regulation. "Control impulse" and "management emotion" are also based on self-regulation. Both "good at serving customers" and "honest and reliable" can make people perform well at work.
Only the high emotional intelligence can not guarantee that a person must learn the emotional ability needed in work. The high emotional intelligence only shows that they have great latent mechanics to the required emotional ability. For example, a person may have strong empathy, but may not necessarily have related abilities based on empathy, such as excellent customer service quality, first-class guidance ability, and the ability to unite the general team. The same applies to music. A person has a perfect voice and has to learn singing skills to become a good singer.

Emotional ability can be divided into several categories, each based on a common underlying emotional intelligence. Potential emotional intelligence is also crucial if one wants to learn the skills needed to win in the workplace. For example, if a person lacks social skills, he will be very difficult to persuade or motivate others. He will be unable to work in the leading group and will not be flexible. If a person lacks self-awareness, he will turn a blind eye to his own weaknesses, and he will lack self-confidence because he does not understand his own strengths.
No one is perfect. There are not many factors that contribute to outstanding work performance. We only need to be strong enough in certain capabilities. These required strengths are distributed in five aspects of emotional intelligence. In other words, all roads lead to Rome, and so is the way to success. Let's talk about the relationship between the five characteristics of emotional intelligence and the 25 emotional abilities.
