Training your Employees

Employee trainings should be planned and not to be treated with levity.

Employers are required to put measures in place to ensure staff gets the best from trainings.

Employers must carry employees along and ensure they communicate expectations before and after such trainings.
In a case where you have identified a gap and decided that a particular training would go an extent in bridging the gap, it is only proper to communicate this to the employee.
Let him/her know what you have discovered, how you intend to help, when it will take effect and what is expected of him/ her.

Every employer wants to make the right investment especially when it comes to employee training.

Report writing is one way to help your employees learn. As an employer, demanding for reports of completed trainings is a sure way to go.
If there are more than one person attending a training, each person should be made to give a report, as group report might not capture all delegates learning experience.
Every individual learns differently and this will help keep them fully alert in class and give every staff the opportunity to make tangible contributions.

Getting feedback from the training provider is also very important.
Note , you are not policing or witch hunting anyone but only putting measures in place to aid staff learning.

This would be communicated to staff/ training delegates to ensure they are fully aware and help put them on their best learning behavior.

Evaluations also need to be carried out when employees complete the training program to ascertain the impact of the training.

Evaluations such as:

●Reaction and plan action: How do the participants feel about the training? What is their learning experience?

●Learning and confidence evaluation: Is there increase in knowledge before and after the training?

●Behavioral impact: What is the extent of applied learning on the job? Are they actually doing anything different?

●Business impact: What is the overall effect on the business or environment as a result of the completed training?

For organisations to be productive, and staff efficient, the employer and employee have to work hand in hand.
Employers have to work with employee to drive performance and employee with employer for 'the perfect result' (organisation growth and productivity, a happy and friendly workplace).

These I believe will help company sponsored employees get full value from trainings, replicate this value in the organisation and see to it that employers investment on employee training don't go to waste.

Sort:

As much as the employer is the sole driver of the organisation success, he must needs have efficient subordinates who will believe enough to achieve the organisation success together.

Yes sir

As much as the employer is the sole driver of the organisation success, he must needs have efficient subordinates who will believe enough to achieve the organisation success together.

The success of an organisation is the subordinate.
Employee play a major role in all organisations
