As the era of soccer football seems to begin to kicks off again, and with the just concluded outing of the various soccer match played during the world cup. I could remember when matches had to be played late into the night. But the stadium still looks white and clear and well illuminated. Then I had to looks back into how football will have looked like or if even football matches are played at night in any sphere of sport. I could imagine a tennis match of a basketball tournament being played at night in the golden era, considering the type of light that is being used then.
A decade back is an era of the glowing wick, the incandescent lamps or bulbs, popularly called yellow bulbs. Imagining a football tournament with the yellow lamps, am sure we won’t be able to differentiate a yellow card from a red card, and neither will the players effectively connect with themselves on the field of play.
But when one considers the introduction of the Light emitting Diodes bulbs, LED bulbs, its such a game changer. We see people enjoying game all night and even no realizing its deep night, as it all appears white. And also, the LED bulbs makes different establishment to spring forth.

From research conducted into light consumption and usage by the lighting bulbs, it was discovered that the use of the yellow bulb alone contributes to half of the monthly light bill every house hold pays either monthly or yearly, it was so because the yellow bulbs had to consume large amount of energy to be able to excite and glow the wick inside to be able to produce light. But we keep thinking we are enjoying the heat. But thank God for the introduction of the LED bulbs, the power consumption of the bulbs are way too low to even consider significantly to the monthly electric bills of a household or a company or the cost of running street light in terms of light energy consumption and tax payed by the government.
It was also noticed that the yellow bulbs are a major contributor to the greenhouse warming of the earth. The use of the bulbs generates heat energy and radiation energy that all have a adverse contribution to the world globally. But with the introduction of the LED bulbs, it was discovered that the metric tons of heat liberated and the adverse effect of the radiations is massively dipping down.
Its obvious that we need to improve our sphere and save our self, much more stress and move forward into a better solution, and that’s where the TerraWatt platform comes into play.
