Very interesting post @julstamban these weeds infest our rivers and are manually removed and used in agriculture.

The manufacture of paper is interesting to see, the fiber must be pretty strong if used in sandals as well. If mills start to use on grand scale this could overcome cutting trees for paper production, and rid ourselves of plastic at the same time.

As you mentioned this plant is invasive and grows at a speed that is totally amazing.
