True Vocation
She began to look for vacancies and went to the educational areas, looking for places where she could help, where she had problems, there was an abundant deficit in education in the correctional facilities because no teacher wanted to work with "problem children", but she took the job happily, she could never say what was easy, because that experience was the hardest thing she had to live through, the first day the children stood up and wouldn't let her speak she stood up and spoke above them imposing her authority, then she passed one by one to her desk and spoke to them in a loving but sure tone of voice, the next few days passed in the same way and each of them was won over, she learned their names and read each one's files, the different problems they had and devised strategies to serve them as support.
One day Gisela is interrupted in the middle of a class by Jordan, a 7-year-old boy, the little boy pulls a gun out of his bag and puts it on his desk, "teacher, look what I have here, if he doesn't behave well, he already knows what's going to happen to him", he said, smiling with a few missing teeth, the teacher inside felt like dying, didn't she? If she had never seen a gun in her life and had never been threatened by a student, she said to him, "How is that? Now I am the one who has to behave well, you would hurt this woman who loves you so much, bring that to me and I want to see her", she sat him down next to her, leaving the others in an activity, asked where she had got it and who had given it to her, He replied without much interest that he had had it for some time and it had been given to her, she watched him as if he was talking to an older person, while the child was distracted when she induced him to see what was happening to the pet in the room she sent a message to one of the campus authorities, and with great caution they took the gun, then she spoke to him and told him everything that happened to people who chose the paths of bad living and vandalism, the next day he brought a newsreel of events, he felt powerless to see how small children were so damaged and with such wrong minds, He showed them strong pages where most of them were criminals who had been caught and resisted, ending up dead, "so do you want to end up, in a corner bathed in blood, losing your life without knowing how beautiful what I could offer you?"One of the children with anger said, "You are wrong, my prince, you are my children and I care a lot about you and if you allow me I will help you to be good men and women". He spoke to them every day and always tried to give his classes outdoors, with some dynamics and to make them interactive so that they would feel attracted. As the years went by, those children that society had taken away in that place changed their attitude remarkably, now they had aspirations and every day they said goodbye to their teacher with a kiss and a hug and she stayed with them until they finished their time in that place getting involved in everything related to their lives, never tired, always attentive and compassionate, a teacher with a true vocation and love for what she did.
