My opinion about the bearing of a gun being released !!!!!
Good morning everyone.
I live in Brazil and here is a serious discussion about gun possession for the common population. I do not know what it's like in your country, but I imagine that the possession of a gun there is equivalent to having one here !!!
Of course this video is humorous and it was very exaggerated, but I imagine that in case the release happens, situations of this type in a traffic can happen yes.
Citizens considered "good" could possibly use a gun to show they are bullies and win a fight.
If a person wants to carry a gun, it is possibly malicious or naïve in the belief that it will be safer. Bandits who walk armed can count on the surprise factor and when someone thinks about getting a gun they may already be firing. In addition, with people having the bearing, it will possibly make thugs to prepare more and become even more violent, to restrain people from walking armed, generating more deaths.
In addition to these factors, I imagine that the emotional aspects of handling a weapon at the time of a strike are very difficult to control. As I said, the video exaggerated the size of the gun, but with the "free" access to the gun, it will draw too much attention from psychopaths / narcissists to take this size and buy a gun. This personality profile has within it an immense volition to the dominion of the other. Subjugating someone and placing them as inferior is one of the greatest pleasures that psychopaths can have.
Try to imagine, how will it be if people with this psychic structure are armed and have some power / money / status, coupled with the legal defense they can buy to help them when they do something. For me, it will be totally chaos. It will give much more work to both the police and people involved in disarmament, and to increase the incidence of the wounded and dead.
The salvation I see for this is that nowadays, almost anyone can buy a camera that has a camera and post the videos on the internet. Showing what will happen to these people carrying weapons, several disarmament campaigns will emerge.
I do not know exactly the date, but I remember disarmament campaigns in the late 1980s or early 1990s. There were some on the globe. They were real cases being shown. In one of these cases, the son will pay a visit to his father, and this father will carry a gun. The son enters without telling the house to surprise his father. This father thinks that he is a thief invading and shoots the son, causing his death and an eternal pain in this father. I remember the facial expressions of this father, clearly showing that he was in a terrible depressive process. This all happened in a house of a good citizen, who did not want to hurt anyone. Imagine when the citizens of "evil" have access to a weapon ???
I think that whoever can deal with bad guys is the police who have the bearing of the weapon released and is trained psychologically for that, besides possessing technique to handle the weapon.
I imagine this discussion will always be extreme. Who is in favor will have arguments showing how armament can protect normal civilians from an assault, for example and whoever is against will have an opinion similar to mine. It is a conversation that will never end, as each side finds arguments to defend its point of view. Mine is that.

You are very right! Guns cant be allowed to everybody in the country, this is the same as declaring war in silence way.
There are going to be dozens of murders each day,and decent people will loose the right of ownership because their properties and rights will always be robbed by mobs.
I dont support the free guns ownership to everyone!
This post is not only great and useful but also neccessary to all of us from anywhere in the world to keep it in mind for the safety of our lives.
I agree man. It's too complicated to release a weapon for everyone. I imagine that those who think about liberation do not think that on the other side there is a life, even if it is that of a bandit. I do not think in any way to take someone's life, regardless of who it is !!!

Hmmmmm for individuals to posses a gun is unthinkable. This is only going to cause lots of commotion among the community. I am against everyone having guns and I'm sure it will never be put into law in my country.
I say the same. I am against the possession of a weapon, mainly by people unprepared in the psychological area. How nice that in your country this is forbidden. Where you live??

I think that legalizing the possession of a gun will only bring more violence and insecurity between society, we do not know with what purpose people buy weapons, sometimes for personal defense others to attack, but in most cases such weapons will be cover by Irresponsible people who only seek to attack others for personal reasons, I do not think it is a good idea and more in Brazil that suffer a lot of insecurity
I think that going from NO Gun Ownership to having guns must be done carefully... Our NICS System in the USA is pretty good, but not perfect. I'd say that a mental health check in there would be a good thing, and folks taking certain psychotropic drugs may need to be excluded from gun ownership. This is one thing that will be added here, eventually. You have a good and thoughtful comment!
Seems like lots of backwards thinking in here, likely due to the Lame-Stream Media in the USA suppressing the FACTS: More crimes are STOPPED by good guys with Guns in the USA than they talk about. I am a LEGAL Gun Owner, and we have at least 1 gun per Man, Woman, and CHILD in this country. Guess What? There is no more violence here than other countries with less gun ownership. Most likely LESS. It is NOT the Wild West in the USA! We have Open Carry in my state, as well as concealed. I have no fear when I see a gun on display. None at all. Most police here support our 2nd Amendment as well. Armed Citizens have STOPPED Many crimes, and most folks do pretty well under duress. This is due to Training. the NRA promotes Gun Safety and Training. Most of the "news" about Guns in the USA is FAKE NEWS! They actively suppress stories of legal gun owners Saving Lives...
In fact, in WW2, the Emperor of Japan told his Generals that there would be no invasion of the mainland United States, "because there is a RIFLE behind every blade of Grass" and it would be a suicide mission. This is a FACT.
We likely have more guns than people!!! The KNOWN weapons are as plentiful as the citizens of the USA... Another FACT.

It is intriguing to hear the opinion of someone from another country. The culture here is different. It would seem that you are defending the possession of a weapon if the person is prepared for it. How would this preparation ??? I think with preparation, there may be the posture yes, but you have to be careful not to make the population bully !!!!

I think you got my message! Yes, I am saying people should be allowed to keep and bear arms, and the preparation for that runs very deep in America. In fact, this country was founded on that principle. So we are kind of born with that responsibility, but it still must be taught. Our media is controlled mostly by gun grabbers, so you kind of need to filter that out.
I agree with you that going from No Guns to something like the USA would have a few problems. Those most likely to abuse these rights would be among the most eager to get guns. But I'm sure there would be many responsible people as well...
