Country drive to a friend's house in Staffordshire.

Today has been a chillled day.
Took a drive with my buddy Maddy from Sheffield to Stoke to see Delphine and her children in their great big beautiful British country house. Now a five star wedding venue and so quite a treat for us semi-detached Sheffielders! But rather cold too... Can imagine that as soon as the big log fires are roaring, that Dunwood Hall comes in to its own but in the meantime brrrrrrr!
Strange to think I used to live here as a student. Hardly University "halls", lucky me, more like Grand Hall.
It was beautifully sunny en route and the frost meant us having to ramp up the car heating and stay toasty indoors mostly, with a brisk walk around the garden
Kids had a great time romping around whilst the rooms were vacant of wedding furniture!!
Tree house always a winner.
Back home now and pooped from an early start and three hours driving. Cuppa tea and pumpkin tea loaf will sort me out.
