Big Xbox One Update | This could shape the future of games
I've been hearing this rumor for a while, that Xbox Live might come to Nintendo's Switch. Now I heard it with more details and I'm excited and curious about what could happen.
The GDC, Game Developer's Conference was celebrated recently. Some of the big news is related to cross-play and the changes that this could bring to the gaming industry. In the video below you can hear an expert's opinion on this topic and more details but I'm going to put my 2 cents too.
Imagine that you would only need to buy one gaming system and with that, you could play every game that comes out. One of the biggest frustrations or flaws in gaming is that there are too many exclusive games. If you have a PlayStation there would be at least one good game that is only on Xbox. Nintendo has a bunch of great exclusives and you will need to buy their console just to play them. Some games are better on PC because of the custom graphics and special controls. Anyways, there is not enough time and money to enjoy all the games.
Another proposal is that you could carry with you all your gaming data, this could be done through cloud saving features. Personally, I think that all of these ideas are great, but like in any other industry, there are people that don't want changes, are negative and will oppose evolution. This is normal, but I hope that the decision makers are not influenced by these kind of people.
Let's see what happens in the future.
